Served as assistant to PE in charge of construction of Bucyrus International 8750. This dragline featured the world's first gearless drive system. Dragline was erected at Zhungeer’s Hei Dai Gou coal mine near the town of Xue Jia Wan, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China.
Served as Service Engineer assisting Project Manager in charge of construction of one Bucyrus International 495HR Electric Rope Shovel. Shovel was erected at Arch Coal’s Black Thunder coal mine, in Wyoming, near the town of Wright. Shovel was completed and commissioned in 75 days, due to weather and logistical delays.
Served as Service Engineer/Project Manager in charge of construction of four Bucyrus International 495HR Electric Rope Shovels. All shovels were erected at the Haerwusu Open Pit Mine in Inner Mongolia, near the city of Xue Jia Wan. Haerwusu mine began production in October 2008.
Served as Service Engineer/Project Manager in charge of construction of one Bucyrus International 495HD Electric Rope Shovel. Shovel was erected at the Datan International Shengli Mine, China’s largest brown coal mine, in Inner Mongolia, near the city of Xilinhot, (often referred to as the City of Coal on the Inner Mongolia Steppe). Shovel was completed and commissioned in 60 days, however project included training and performance monitoring.

Served as Service Engineer/Project Manager in charge of construction of one Bucyrus International 495HD Electric Rope Shovel. Shovel was erected at the China Power Huolinhe Coal Co., Ltd, coal mine, in Inner Mongolia, near the city of Holingol. Shovel was completed and commissioned in 80 days; however, project was placed on hold due to client request.
Served as Service Engineer/Project Manager in charge of construction of four Bucyrus International 495HR Electric Rope Shovels. Shovels were erected at Goldcorp’s Minera Peñasquito, (the fifth largest silver mine in the world and the second largest in Mexico), near the town of Mazapil, in Zacatecas, Mexico. In addition to building the four shovels, I assisted Bucyrus personnel who were contracted to perform maintenance on the completed shovels.
Served as Service Engineer/Project Manager in charge of construction of one Bucyrus International 495HD Electric Rope Shovel. Shovel was erected at SUEK’s Tugnuysky open cast mine, in Buryatia, Siberia, near the town of Sagan-Nur. (Located within half a day’s drive of Lake Baikal, the world’s largest freshwater lake, by volume, which contains one-fifth of the fresh water on Earth’s surface.) Shovel was completed and commissioned despite logistical and weather delays. This was the first 495HD in Russia and it has set many records for production.
Served as Service Engineer/Project Manager in charge of construction of one Bucyrus International 495HRII Electric Rope Shovel. Shovel was erected at BMA’s Curragh Blackwater Mine, in Queensland, Australia. This was the first 495HR2 to be constructed in Australia, and only the second of the new model to be built in the world. Shovel project was delayed due to massive unseasonal flooding. Caterpillar’s purchase of Bucyrus occurred, and I transitioned to a new position before the flooding delay cleared.
